Elina holds an Honours MA in Geography from the University of Edinburgh. During her undergraduate studies, she became particularly focused on water management and its social implications, writing her final thesis on the socio-ecological systems of integrated lake management. These interests led her to complete internships with the sustainability team of a leading chemicals company, from where she developed a curiosity for the intersections between sustainable development, chemicals, water and corporations. Elina is elated to join the motivated team at the EGESTA Lab in the fall of 2021 and continue pursuing her research interests regarding corporate sustainability, water stewardship and chemical pollutants.
